Morán was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the seventh round of the 2015 MLB Draft. He was drafted out of the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy in Florida and Puerto Rico. That same year, he began his professional career with the Gulf Coast Twins.
In 2018, he played for the Cedar Rapids Colonels and Fort Myers Miracle. In 2019, he played for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and Gulf Coast Twins. After the 2019 season, Moran also played in the Arizona Fall League to further hone his skills.
Moran began the 2021 season with the Wichita Wind Surge before being traded to the St. Paul Saints. On September 12, 2021, he was called up to the major leagues by the Twins and made his MLB debut that same evening.
In 2023, Moran appeared in 43 games for the Twins, finishing the season with a 5.31 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings. On September 1, 2023, he was placed on the disabled list with a strained left forearm. He then went on the 60-day injured list on September 24, ending his season. On November 17, 2023, the Twins decided not to offer him a new contract, making him a free agent, but three days later, on November 20, he signed a minor league contract to remain with the Twins.
